Fun Club

The BAUMC Fun Club is for anyone who likes to get together with others for food, fun, and fellowship.  We meet the 2nd Monday of each month. In September, we get together to start our new year for breakfast at a local restaurant.  In January, we gather at Peking for lunch to observe Chinese New Year.  In May, we have our end of the year picnic in the garden by ordering box lunches from Front Porch and eating in our Memorial Garden. The other months we gather at 10:30 A.M. in Room 1101 at the church.  We have speakers, play games, and sometimes just talk.  Come join us, and bring new ideas. Contact Milbrey A Bartholow at Milannbar236@comcast.net.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, except for December. Knitters and crocheters come at 10:00 am to room 1102, and share time with friends while we make Prayer Shawls for those who need to be wrapped in God’s love and to know that someone cares.

We also do white baby blankets for baptism and new  babies. We use leftover yarn to make mini squares to stick in a pocket or add to a card for someone. For students graduating from High School and moving on to a new life experience, we do shawls in college or favorite colors to send from BAUMC.

If you knit or crochet, or would like to learn, come and join us! We have yarn and patterns.

Garden Club

Founded in 1956 Crestwood Farms Garden Club welcomes members from all neighborhoods.  Our monthly meetings and community outreach are centered around teaching and learning about plants and their beauty and benefit to ourselves and our environment.  Our programs are designed to help new gardeners and flower arrangers learn the basics and teach the "old pros" something new all while sharing garden secrets and experiences.  Our outreach to the community involves participation in local festivals, nature fairs, flower shows, and enhancing the landscape at local schools.  Our meetings maintain a relaxed atmosphere offering opportunities to meet, greet, and ask other members questions allowing us all to grow and progress in our knowledge while sharing abilities, enthusiasm, and friendship.  We welcome all visitors at our meetings and we do have a facebook page.  If you have questions please don't hesitate to contact Becky Rasmussen or Debbie Clark.
